Enquiry issue

Our enquiry issue is how to conserve and revitalize Cheung Chau's temples.

Temples is one of the typical landmarks and tourist attractions in Cheung Chau. You can easily find them through out the sideway in Cheung Chau. Every temple worship different Gods but their design are similar in most respects. Most of them are in a long history. Since Ming Dynasty, Cheung Chau have been developed into a fish village. The oldest temple in Cheung Chau is 長洲玉虛宮, which was built in 1753. Although the temples are old-aged, those historical temples are still operating for people to worship Gods. Therefore, we would like to find out the reason why they are attractive and how can temples be conserved and revitalized.
